RECAP:
🏆 Pacific Coast Arena League RECAP

This month saw the finals of the Pacific Coast Arena League. In which California Polo Club, Orange County Polo Club and Lakeside Polo Club competed with individual internal teams, have fun playing polo, and potentially earn some coveted prizes.
It was fantastic to see CPC members making their own teams such as WRTeknica run by Will and Zinta, Blackwood Wines with Emma and Yiyi, and Slava Polo from Igor, with Katty and Clay, as well as two CPC teams in B and C flight.
The B flight team run by Chuck, saw 14 year old Woody play, who is clearly becoming a future pro. Whilst the CPC C Flight team, made up of Josh, Kat and Cory almost made it the entire tournament unbeaten, with just one loss!
Huge thanks to the Orange County and Lakeside polo clubs, as well as the Los Angeles Equestrian Centre. Now it’s time to look forward to the Rodney Cup and the US OPEN, plus the launch of two brand-new CPC tournaments debuting later this year. Stay tuned!

🐴 The Unity Cup: Guards vs Lagos

CPC Member and Nigerian native Ndali was in England last week to watch her home team Lagos Polo Club play Guards for the Unity Cup at the Duke’s ground.
After a closely fought game, Guards Polo Club took the trophy, with the match 5-3.5
The MVP was awarded to Mustapha Fasinro and the BPP was Millimetrica played and owned by Tunde Karim.
UP AND COMING:
🐴 Player Graduations!

Graduation time! 👏
We’re so excited to announce that we have new players graduating to coaching and intermediate chukkers! Jack, Caleb, Michelle, Angela and Akshay graduate to coaching chukkers with Will earning a battlefield pass to intermediate chukkers. We love seeing our players grow, take on new challenges, and start making bigger plays. Catch them in the arena soon.
RULES AND REGS:
🐴🧹 Housekeeping
PARKING:
Please do not park in front of the archway. This is the designated emergency access point and is a liability issue. We thank you for your cooperation.
CHUKKER DRESS CODE:
A quick reminder on chukker dress code! White pants are required, with only CPC chukker shirts or CPC dual-colored pinnies allowed. From a safety perspective, knee pads are mandatory and eye protection or face masks are required for all chukkers
CHUKKER AND LESSON START TIMES:
A friendly reminder to be punctual to lessons and chukkers. Late arrival can be disruptive for Ismael and the team, please help keep things running smoothly.
USPA MEMBERSHIP
We request that all chukker players must be full USPA members with “Regular Player” status. The benefits include secondary medical coverage and $1M in liability insurance. We also encourage all lesson riders to become USPA members in the ‘non competing’ category. This also provides medial coverage, plus every member helps strengthen our club’s voting power and representation within the USPA. You can join HERE.
From Katty, and the California Polo Club team
Until next time!
