🤝 Will Rogers Polo Club x CPC — Coming Soon

Big news! 🎉

California Polo Club is excited to announce a new partnership with Will Rogers Polo Club at Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades, creating regular opportunities for CPC members to experience grass polo.

If you’ve been looking for a pathway from the arena to the grass field, this is it. 🏇🌱

Weekend grass polo opportunities at Will Rogers will be available for players who are ready to participate in chukkers, with play offered on both Saturdays and Sundays.

For riders who are not yet ready for chukkers, Fridays offer grass instruction and stick-and-ball opportunities with Domingo, providing valuable experience on grass before joining weekend play.

Whether your goal is to prepare for your first grass chukker or simply get more grass time in your schedule, this partnership creates another step forward in your polo journey.

If you’re interested and would like information on pricing, scheduling, or which option is the best fit for your current level, please contact Katty directly.

From your first time on grass to your next tournament, we’re creating more opportunities for CPC members to learn, play, and grow. 🏇

📹 CPC on YouTube — Member Access Now Available

We launched a CPC YouTube channel, and it's already stacked with drone footage from chukkers at the club. Videos are unlisted — not public — so this is exclusively for members. If you'd like access to watch (or rewatch) your chukkers, reach out to Katty and she'll get you the links.

🐴 Horses for Sale and Lease

A few horses are currently available through our members. Please note: these are member-to-member listings — not club sales. CPC is simply passing the word along.

Jake — available for sale

Palermo — available for sale

Cosita — available for sale

Turcura — available for sale

Catalunya — available for sale

Fangio — available for lease, 2-3x per week. Ideal as a complement to a lesson or play package. Inquire for details.

For any inquiries, contact Katty and she'll connect you with the right person.

Housekeeping 🐴🧹

Respect the umpire

Our umpires are doing a tough job in real time — making split-second calls to keep the game open and moving, while keeping players and horses safe in the arena. They're not tracking grievances or mentally tallying who did what; they're calling what they see, in the moment, as it happens.

Chukkers at CPC are meant to be fun for everyone, and that includes the people calling the game. If a call doesn't go your way, let it go — and give our umpires the grace they deserve.

Effective immediately, arguing with the umpire will result in a card:

  • First offense — yellow card 🟨

  • Second offense — red card and ejection 🟥

Safety Reminder: Please Keep Horses Away from the Deck Area

For the safety of all members and guests, please do not bring horses up to the deck area or tie up near the arena viewing spaces.

The deck is a high-traffic area used by spectators, children, non-riders, and visitors who may not be familiar with horse behavior. Even the quietest horse can become startled unexpectedly. When this happens, a horse may swing its hindquarters, kick out, or react in a way that can seriously injure someone nearby.

This is not a theoretical concern—it can happen in an instant. A startled horse can cause significant injury to a person standing behind or beside it, particularly in crowded areas where people may not realize they are entering a horse’s personal space.

Please keep horses in designated horse areas and away from the deck, walkways, and spectator gathering spaces. This small precaution helps ensure a safe environment for riders, families, guests, and horses alike.

Thank you for helping keep CPC safe for everyone.

Please Keep the Front Gate Clear

Please do not park in front of or block the main gate entrance to CPC.

This gate serves as an emergency access point for trailers, veterinary vehicles, ambulances, and other emergency responders. In the event of a rider injury or horse emergency, we may need to quickly load a horse for transport or provide immediate access for emergency personnel.

Even a vehicle parked “just for a minute” can create a delay when every minute matters.

When parking, please make sure the gate area and access road remain completely clear at all times. Your cooperation helps ensure that horses, riders, staff, and emergency responders can move safely and efficiently when needed.

Thank you for helping keep CPC safe and accessible for everyone.

From Katty, and the California Polo Club team
Until next time!
